How We Research
ItemVerdict publishes research-based reviews. Unless a page says otherwise and shows the evidence, we have not tested the product hands-on, and every review says so near the top.
What we check for every brand
We read the brand's official product pages, shipping policy, return or refund policy, warranty terms and affiliate terms. We record specs and prices exactly as published, with the date we saw them.
Safety and regulatory records
For products where safety matters, we search the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall database. For health and beauty devices, we check claimed FDA clearances in the FDA 510(k) database and look for recalls and warning letters.
Claims versus facts
Specs and written policies are facts we can point to. Marketing statements, brand-run surveys and star ratings hosted on a brand's own site are labeled as the brand's claims.
What we will not do
We do not invent test results, user reviews, ratings, prices or expert quotes. If a fact is missing, we say it is not stated. We do not cover supplements or products sold on health claims we cannot verify.
Keeping pages current
Each page shows the date its facts were last verified. Prices change often, so always confirm on the seller's site before buying.
